…and I’m the visionary behind The Ardea Edit.
My passion for weddings and events started many years ago. During my late teens, instead of spending my days on MySpace and Bebo (IYKYK), I binged hours of Say Yes to the Dress, Don’t Tell The Bride and my favourite (J.Lo!) film The Wedding Planner.
Anything involving nuptials lit a spark in me that never died down, and in 2019 I decided to train as a Wedding Celebrant. Shortly after this, I found myself in my dream job as a Style Consultant for a bridal boutique in Colchester. I quickly worked my way to Assistant Manager, before - you guessed it - COVID hit!
The unexpected and lengthy time off work meant my plans to deliver weddings sadly took a back seat, and by the time the world was back to ‘normal’ I had started up a beauty business, which I then went on to do for a further 5 years until mid-2024.
The beauty industry was never my long-term passion, and I yearned to be immersed in the wedding world once again. I decided to give up my beauty business and go back into part-time employment, while I began putting plans together to start my wedding and events business. And in March 2025, I finally launched The Ardea Edit.
What makes me your perfect planner…
I am a huge control freak (yes, this is me steaming my bridesmaids’ dressing gowns on the morning of my own wedding) but I know when not to take away from my client’s control, and also when to delegate. I’m also excellent in a crisis - although we always hope there won’t be any - you never know when someone might pop up with a ‘funny’ objection!
In contrast, I am very laid back in my general demeanour - my clients say they love working with me because they know I’m unflappable, and I am yet to be shocked by a request!
My attention to detail is unmatched. I will happily pause the photographer if I spot that something is out of place - because if I notice it, you probably will too!
I love taking somebody’s vision, providing them with a concept, and having them blown away by seeing their idea become a reality. I will become just as OBSESSED with your event as you are!
I am a perfectionist, which means I will keep going until I know I’ve hit the nail on the head. Your 100% satisfaction is my end goal, and we will work together until we reach that.
